Westside Plan
Why this is an issue:
The Westside Plan is the name given to the project to change zoning and increase housing density in the area on the west side of Hood River and inside the city’s urban growth boundary.

POV:
The Westside Plan addresses one of three strategies that were suggested in the 2015 Housing Needs Analysis and the Hood River Housing Strategy document.
POV:
Among citizen concerns about the Westside Plan are that it goes much further than the 2015 HNA suggested with respect to up-zoning to encourage development. Also, the lack of advance planning for the financing of infrastructure that is identified in the plan, including transportation and parks.
Current Status:
The City of Hood River is in the process of adopting the Westside Plan.
