Planning Director Dustin Nilsen will give an update to changes the Planning Commission made after hearing last Monday from local builders and developers (including Mike Ketler of IBC, Greg Crafts, Nancy Roach, Mike Kitts, Doug Beverage, Eli Spevak of Orange Splot, Joe Sagar of Sagar Design Build). In response to their concerns about being able to deliver more small housing units under the proposed new code, the Planning Commission and staff have change including:

- Increasing the number of units allowed on lots

- Reviewing the dwelling to area ration (a lower number means more units per lot)

- Incentivizing more smaller units

- Lot frontage reduced from 50' to 0

- On lots zoned R-2: 1 dwelling per 1250 sq ft (800 sq ft and under); 1 dwelling per 1500 (800-1200 sq ft)

Other topics up on Monday:

-Presentation on Community Health Needs Assessment

- Mid-Columbia Center for Living Presentation

- $100,000 contract review to study sewer problems
