HR County Commission Meeting Recap (Nov 2) - COVID, Compensation

On Monday Nov 2 the Hood River County Commissioners held a special meeting. A few highlights:

- Commissioners talked about extending the Enterprise Zone, admitting that they did not know the cost of the tax abatements extended compared to the economic benefits. They've asked County Administrator Jeff Hecksel to provide some of that information in coordination with Brian Beebe.

Measure 14-70, Charter Amendment Details

There's still time to look at the most overlooked item on today's ballot in Hood River County - Ballot Measure 14-70, which seeks amend significant parts of the charter, and ignores problematic sections altogether. The tiny print on the county's website says "The Hood River County Board of Commissioners are seeking minor amendments to the County Charter on the November 3, 2020 ballot."
